Paula and I spent 12 solid hours at the old Douglas County Courthouse today. This 100 year old tile floor has been hiding under carpet for the past 20 years. We were hired to remove those glue residue and to steam clean the tile and grout..
There was a 1916 penny inserted into a tile when the building was first built. It had long since gone missing. I was able to track down a “new” penny and dig the hole a bit deeper to remount it below grade with epoxy.
